Comedian Mark Malkoff did a video project where he lived on a commercial airplane non-stop for a month (I can barely stand one for a few hours). During this time he wasn’t allowed to leave the plane, not even to go into the terminal. He had to clean himself with baby wipes, find a way to sleep on the plane, he even had to eat all his meals there too. Yeah, airline food for 30 days, that’ll do some damage to your insides. He managed to pull it off and landed in the Guinness Book of World Records but during the project there was a slight problem. He was going to miss his anniversary dinner with his wife. And let’s be honest, if you have a cute wife that puts up with your crap, you should probably drop the project to take her out. But Christine was a good sport about it and agreed to celebrate their anniversary on the plane. The wing to be exact. The tarmac of Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport was their romantic backdrop while the two enjoyed their catered meal. Is this why it takes so long to get a connection through ATL? They have people hanging out on the planes and stuff?
Mad props to AirTran for letting Mark pull this stunt. They were good sports about helping out this project. And yeah, they let this dude sleep in the overhead compartments meanwhile they give me crap about my carry-on. I need more street cred…
