Comic book movies haven’t always been as consistently great as they have been in the age of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and post-Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy – they used to be pretty consistently awful. Unfortunately, most actors and directors of these movies were reticent to actually say how bad these movies were, due to not wanting to attract more bad PR to themselves and not wanting to insult the work of others who put in time on these films.
Luckily, every now and then, people HAVE come out and said that their movies were trash (with varying degrees of diplomatic language employed). Here’s 13 people who said what we knew they were thinking:
Ben Affleck (Daredevil)
Sam Raimi (Spider-Man 3)
Chris Evans (Fantastic Four)
Thomas Jane (The Punisher)
Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern)
Halle Berry (Catwoman)
Hugh Jackman (X-Men Origins: Wolverine)
Channing Tatum (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra)
Bryan Singer ( Superman Returns)
Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man 2)
Josh Trank (Fant4stic)
George Clooney (Batman & Robin)
Joel Schumacher (Batman & Robin)
