The LEGO Movie – “Behind the Bricks” Featurette

Waner Bros. just released the latest featurette for the upcoming Lego Movie. In one scene of this, they make Morgan Freeman read the phone book. Just listen to that sweet molasses. That guy can make anything sound good.

“The LEGO® Movie,” the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure, directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, opens in theaters February 7, 2014. It stars the vocal talents of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Lego Finally Releases Details And Pictures On The Rumored Simpson’s Sets

A few days ago a picture started circulating the internet showing a Simpson’s house made out of Lego. Many Lego and Simpson’s enthusiasts went crazy and finally Lego admitted the set is real and coming out February 1st.

The set includes bricks to recreate the Simpsons’ Springfield homestead and includes 6 minifigures; Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and Ned Flanders. Set# 71006 is set to retail for around $200 but most fans will agree it’s well worth the price. This isn’t just the shell of a house, it’s completely furnished and detailed.

A line of 16 minifigs will hit stores in May, when Fox airs a Lego-themed episode of The Simpsons to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary. The figures will retail for about $4 and are currently rumored to be series 13 of the minifgure packs since series #12 will feature characters from The Lego Movie. Incredible Joker’s Funhouse Made Of Lego

Vancouver-based LEGO artist Paul Hetherington created a beautiful funhouse out of LEGO bricks for one of the most iconic Batman villains, the Joker.

From the artist:

This Lego creation is loosely based on several of the Batman Video Game Funhouses. The Funhouse is built with three “levels” to allow for three separate Batman and Robin scenes. I built the Funhouse over a two month period and debuted it at Brickcon 2013 in Seattle. The automation is powered with Lego Power Function Motors. The lighting is from IKEA.
