While we were at Megacon this weekend we met an artist that had some really cool work. Scott Blair has been creating amazing illustrations for years but back in 2007 turned his focus to modern pin-up art. From there he branched out to include other pop culture items like comics, zombies and super heroes and reimagined them in his style.

If They Could Transform
“If They Could Transform” is a cool series of illustrations by Canadian artist Darren Rawlings that depicts famous vehicles from movies and TV shows and reimagines them as Transformers.
Metropolis II
This sculpture by Chris Burden is on display at the Los Angeles Museum of Art is a ‘living’ Metropolis with model trains and hundreds of Matchbox cars circulating around it. The set up is amazing (and loud) and is yet another reason why I will never win the lotto, I would totally have a room with something like this in it. The video is cool but with all the camera angles how come no one thought to run a Hot Wheels Video Racer through it?

Aaron Savage, a British artist, has recreated some of the most iconic album covers of the last 70 years into…wait for it…Lego Art! These hilarious recreations include Muse’s Absolution, Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA, and Nirvana’s Nevermind album.
