A cool semi annual celestial event made popular by braniac Neil deGrasse Tyson is commonly referred to as Manhattenhenge. For those of you not familiar with the event, the same planetary tilt that determines the seasons also dictates exactly where the sun will go down each evening — and because of the way that Manhattan’s dominant street grid is laid out, killer sunsets are potentially visible from some of the borough’s best-known east-west streets in late May and mid-July. New Yorkers were wowed on Wednesday night by a sunset that was perfectly framed by skyscrapers.
*UPDATE*
The entry window is now closed. Thank you to all the fans that entered this contest and congratulations to all of the winners!
Because today is World MS Day, we are offering a special freebie. To help spread awareness we are giving out our orange Strange Beaver stickers to 50 random fans. These orange 3-inch decals from BeaverMart are the perfect way to help support for the fight against MS while also showing everyone you’re a Strange Beaver.
Entering the drawing is easy, just send an e-mail with “I want a decal” in the subject line to freebie@strangebeaver.com. Entry window will be open until midnight Eastern Time and then we’ll pick 50 winners.
Good luck Beavers!

Today is World MS Day, a day to take a moment and spread awareness about a disease that affects millions of people. MS Has always been an important cause that Strange Beaver has rallied behind and tried to help, so we would like you to take a moment and watch this video. The gang at ASAP Science did a great job of giving a quick overview of what Multiple Sclerosis is. For this MS Day, please share the video and help us raise awareness.
