Beefcake Heroes

Currently on display at a San Diego art gallery, “Beefcake Heroes” is a series of illustrations by artist Joe Phillips. He always viewed comic book heroes as a little on the feminine side so he decided to thrust them out of the closet and into public view. His illustrations crush your childhood as they depict your favorite characters in hot, sweaty, and ready to go oiled up hotness.

Space Shuttle: The complete missions

Nature Video has come up with a great compilation showing every space shuttle mission during the program’s 30 years. It’s sad to see something that has been a part of our lives for so long come to an end, but it makes way for newer and more exciting things.

NASA’s 30-year Space Transportation System (STS) program came to an end on 21st July 2011. The Space Shuttle fleet delivered the Hubble Space Telescope, the International Space Station, and dozens of satellites, space probes, crew and supplies. Two Shuttles were lost: Challenger in 1986 and Columbia in 2003. The touchdown of Atlantis at Kennedy Space Center marked the end of an era, after 135 missions. This video shows all of them in chronological order.
