Beaver Badge Contest Winner – September
Congrats to Perry from Largo, FL for winning this months Beaver Badge Contest.
Perry’s entry has some history to it so we’ll give some details for those not familiar with what the picture is. Many years ago there was a big court case about a woman (Terri Schiavo) who was in a vegetative state and her husband wanted to take her off life support but her parents didn’t want to. So this battle went on for about 15 years or so and finally erupted with national attention. Perry managed to find Terri Schiavo’s grave and to our surprise, her husband got one final and ever lasting jab in to her parents with what he wrote on the bottom.
Adidas Releases The New Star Wars Wampa Shoes
Adidas has had their Star Wars shoe line going for a while now but they just released their latest offering to appease the geek gods. These Wampa inspired shoes will set you back a cool $150 but you can finally have fur shoes without being confused with a pimp.
Opel One Euro Car Concept
The IAA Frankfurt Motorshow is coming up and car manufacturers are throwing concept cars out to give the gear heads something to froth over. Opel, A GM brand in Europe, came up with the hybrid One Euro Car. It’s small, cheap, friendly to trees everywhere and almost production ready. It looks like a sexy step up from a Smart Car but still lacks some nice features like a bumper. On the plus side, this cool looking car easily transforms into a coffin since there is no way you or it would survive an accident.
