Cool Lego Depictions Of Each Of The 50 States

This imaginative photo series from brickster Jeff Friesen shows Lego representations of all 50 states. He began the project in 2013 building Lego dioramas to capture defining aspects of each state’s geography, history or culture. The resulting series is a well done representation of what makes up the US. It also shows that even in Lego form, Ohio is pretty boring…

Is your state’s Lego diorama accurate?

Couple Has Their Anniversary Dinner On The Wing Of Airplane

Comedian Mark Malkoff did a video project where he lived on a commercial airplane non-stop for a month (I can barely stand one for a few hours). During this time he wasn’t allowed to leave the plane, not even to go into the terminal. He had to clean himself with baby wipes, find a way to sleep on the plane, he even had to eat all his meals there too. Yeah, airline food for 30 days, that’ll do some damage to your insides. He managed to pull it off and landed in the Guinness Book of World Records but during the project there was a slight problem. He was going to miss his anniversary dinner with his wife. And let’s be honest, if you have a cute wife that puts up with your crap, you should probably drop the project to take her out. But Christine was a good sport about it and agreed to celebrate their anniversary on the plane. The wing to be exact. The tarmac of Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport was their romantic backdrop while the two enjoyed their catered meal. Is this why it takes so long to get a connection through ATL? They have people hanging out on the planes and stuff?

Mad props to AirTran for letting Mark pull this stunt. They were good sports about helping out this project. And yeah, they let this dude sleep in the overhead compartments meanwhile they give me crap about my carry-on. I need more street cred…
