Jem And The Holograms – Official Trailer, And Why It Sucks

Aside from the obvious reasons, let’s take a look at why this movie is crap. Universal dusted off an old 80s cartoon that many people loved and decided to take a steamy dump on it. In this new adaptation Jem is a small town Midwestern girl that goes the way of Beiber and gets catapulted into stardom through a Youtube video. That’s right, Youtube. Then of course that leads to emotional turmoil, a love interest, blah blah blah same story line as soo many other movies. So why does it suck? They took away the female empowerment message that was so critical to the original story. 80s kids will remember but if not, let’s rewind a bit.

Bad Neighbour Notes Has Launched It’s Kickstarter

We’ve been waiting for this to come out and it’s finally here. Bad Neighbour Notes launched their Kickstarter this morning. They seem like a great way to passive aggressively inform your neighbors that they’re acting douchey. Much like the fake parking tickets that have been around for a while, these notes should help your domicile be more peaceful.

Notes like these would have been helpful a while back to deter that maniac who used Round Up to kill my neighbor’s lawn that was never mowed. Not that I know anything about that. Let’s move on.

StrangeBeaver Site Update

sold beaver Hey Beavers,

As many of you know there’s been a lot of stuff going on here on the back end and we wanted to take a minute to bring everyone up to speed. We wanted to tell you last Friday since it was our 5 year anniversary but we couldn’t make the announcement then so we held off on the annual State of the Beaver Address and everything until we could give you all the details. SB has officially been sold. Now don’t go getting sad and saying goodbye, it’s just more of a restructuring and moving the parent company from a DBA to an Inc. So what does that mean for you the end user? Not a thing really. The site will stay the same but just be run a bit differently, and add a bit more legitimacy. I was told we needed to make a public notice of the move so consider yourself noticed. If you’re interested in the gritty details keep reading, otherwise please return to your normal browsing routine.

Blind mom-to-be meets her unborn baby through 3D-printed ultrasound

The folks at Huggies came up with an amazing use for a 3D printer

Blind mom gets 3D ultrasound

BRAZIL – Most expectant mothers get a glimpse at their baby during ultrasounds, but if you’re pregnant and can’t see, the experience of an ultrasound may be less profound.

However, a video posted by the Brazilian branch of Huggies, called “Meeting Murilo,” is showing the world how one blind woman was able to bask in the incredible first ultrasound moment — even if she doesn’t have sight.

Tatiana Guerra, 30, has been blind for almost half of her life. She now primarily experiences the world through touch.

“If you could touch him, would that let you know what he’s like?” her doctor asks.

When Tatiana says yes, he presents her with a 3D-printed rendering of the ultrasound.

Tatiana could touch the model and use it to “meet” Murilo in a way she otherwise couldn’t until his birth.
